PSG Announced as Gold Sponsors of The Society for Licensed Conveyancers Conference 2013
The Annual Conference, now in its third year, will take place on November 20th at the Riverside Centre in Derby. The event will once again be hosted by broadcaster and financial journalist, Paul Lewis, who is most well known as presenter of the BBC’s Money Box programme on Radio 4.
Stephen Murray, Business Development Director at PSG, commented: “We have supported this event since its re-launch in 2011 and were delighted to be given the opportunity to once again be the main sponsor this year. We work with many Conveyancers throughout England & Wales and feel it is vitally important to support the SLC conference, which has quickly become a key date in the conveyancing calendar. We are really looking forward to joining our colleagues across the industry and listening to views on current topics and issues affecting our business.”
This year's Conference is titled “Conveyancing – An Ever Changing Landscape” and the speakers include:

- Sheila Kumar – CEO - Council for Licensed Conveyancers
- Crispin Passmore - Strategy Director – Legal Services Board
- Paul Broadhead – Head of Mortgage Policy - Building Societies Association
- Mark Stobbs – Director of Legal Policy – The Law Society
- Tracey Carr – Financial Crime Manager -Santander
Simon Law, Chairman of the SLC said: “Since 2011 we have seen attendance numbers grow as fellow conveyancers from across the profession take the opportunity to access a host of very relevant and informative presentations on topics that directly impact on us and the way in which we operate. This year’s event looks set to be bigger than ever and with so many high profile speakers having committed to share their industry knowledge and expertise with the audience, we are confident that yet again, this will prove to be a must attend event.”
The conference will run between 9:30 am and 5:00pm and a complimentary lunch will be provided for all delegates. The conference is free to SLC members. For non SLC members there will be a charge of £100 per person (refundable for those who join the SLC either as full or associate members at the event). Membership of the SLC is open to all legal professionals not just Licensed Conveyancers. Six CPD points will be available for every attendee.
