General Data Protection Regulations – Information For Customers
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) takes affect from the 25th May 2018. In order to help our Customers assess our compliance with GDPR and their own obligations we would like to give you some useful information about use of data by us and through your use of our systems and how we are preparing for GDPR.
This applies to you as you are a customer of PSG Connect Limited (including PSG Client Services Ltd) or in direct response to a data processing questionnaire you may have sent to us.
‘Personal data’ means any information relating to an identified natural person, known as the ‘data subject’. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Own Client Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, gender and information from identification documents (passport, driving licence, National Insurance Number, email address, telephone number and may include Location Data.
Your Contact Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, email address, telephone number (and which related to all personnel ordering or our Services)
Location Data includes property address for the transaction.
Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details.
Controller, Processor, Personal Data Breach, Sub- Processor, Special Categories of Personal Data shall have the meaning given in the GDPR.
Powered by Pie means any or all of the companies below.

Privacy Notice means the Powered by PIE Group Privacy Notice
Services means the provision of search products and insurance products as relevant to a property transaction.
As a valued customer of PSG you will be familiar with our ordering platform at www.psgconnect.co.uk (Platform), our franchise network (where applicable to the provision of services to you) (Network), our trusted suppliers of products and services as available to you through the Platform (Suppliers) and interconnection with our associated companies (Powered by PIE).
We have assessed our position in the data chain and we are aware that we have responsibilities as;
We have detailed our use of all types of Personal Data, our grounds for lawful processing and who we share this with in our Privacy Notice.
We have also updated our Terms and Conditions which apply to you each time you order Services and use the Platform.
We do not collect or process any Special Categories of Personal Data
As summary of our activities as a Controller:
Contract Purposes:
We need to collect and process Your Contact Data to be able to provide you with the Services you order and to allow you to use the Platform.
We need to collect and process your Financial Data as applicable to payment for the Services.
Legitimate Interests:
Your Contact Data has been provided to us in a commercial context and we may use this to provide you with details of products and services we consider you may be interested in or general service information concerning the Services you have ordered or the Platform generally.
You can opt out from / unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by contacting us however, please note that in doing so you may not receive important information from us.
We may share Your Contact Data with Powered by PIE.
A summary of our activities as a Processor.
When you use our Platform or otherwise order Services from us you will provide us with your Own Client Data and we act as your processor to provide Services to you either directly or through the use of our Suppliers.
Save for where you order AML products where more Own Client Data is needed, Suppliers generally only need Location Data and we only provide elements of Own Client Data to Suppliers as is necessary.
We have published a Data Processing Notice in respect of our data processing obligations to you.
We have Sub-Processor agreements in place with our Suppliers to protect the integrity and security of the Personal Data we process on your behalf.
We may, as required for the Services, share your Own Client Data and Location Data with Powered by PIE.
Your own compliance steps
